Precision Neuromuscular Therapy

Precision Neuromuscular Therapy is a technique developed by Douglas Nelson in Champaigne, Ill.  It utilizes multiple methods of evaluating causes of your pain, including presentation of pain patterns, analyzing postural distortions, and checking for trigger point referrals. A treatment plan is generated from this information, and the muscles are treated accordingly for the most effective and efficient treatments.

Good working knowledge of anatomy, trigger point referral areas, and specific massage techniques are important in order to provide you long lasting relief with Precision Neuromuscular Therapy. Our therapists learn this information well.

We believe it is very important to determine what the creator of the pain is.  This will give you the most relief from the massage for the longest period of time.  We will look for habituated patterns that are unique to each individual person, and do our best to eliminate them. We will measure the way your body relates to gravity, or how your neck moves one way compared to the opposite way.  This gives us valuable information about where we need to release the tight muscles that generate your pain.  Releasing these areas can bring much pain relief and a lot more range of motion to the joints.
